Gaitcare utilizes 3D sensor–captured gait data to extract more than 20 spatiotemporal features (such as stride length, walking speed, and gait cycle) and kinematic features (such as joint angles and center of mass movement). These indicators are analyzed through AI models to detect abnormal gait patterns.
Based on gait data, the system can analyze and predict a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders, scoliosis, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, and early-stage dementia.
In 2025, clinical validation and IRB approval will be conducted at Yeungnam University Medical Center, with initial applications in the medical field prior to broader business expansion.
